What is Integrative Psychotherapy?

The MBS approach to psychotherapy utilizes an integrative philosophy to manage issues of depression, anxiety, stress, feelings of overwhelm, behavior change, and lifestyle management. We appreciate and encourage the use of complementary methods that will enhance overall well-being. During your initial intake and throughout therapy, we will discuss what additional, complementary approaches may be helpful for facilitating growth and change.

Our psychotherapy methods integrates different therapeutic orientations and disciplines to address the unique needs of each person. We recognize that "one size does not fit all" when it comes to wellness and wholeness that takes into consideration the needs of each unique person, including physical health (medical), mental health, lifestyle factors, spirituality, and culture. It expands upon the biopsychosocial model of health psychology to include disciplines that are important and relevant to a person's values and well-being. These may include traditional, osteopathic, or functional medicine, chiropractic, acupuncture, acupressure, homeopathy, hypnotherapy, and other forms of holistic healing methods.
